Ms Otieno joined Amethyst with experience as both MultiSystemic Therapist and MST Supervisor. In her current MST supervisory role, she provides clinical oversight of a team of MST therapists through group and individual supervision. She reviews clinical documentation for appropriateness of clinical effort and assures that clinicians achieve engagement with all key participants and stakeholders. Ms Otieno also provides direct clinical training to assure clinician competency in all clinical areas relating to the implementation of MST interventions. She ensures that her team of clinicians maintains positive clinical outcomes and adheres to the clinical practice model. In addition to supervisory duties, Ms Otieno completes initial person centered plans for clients as well as direct care services to youth that display serious antisocial behaviors and are court involved. She strives to assist at-risk youth and their families to reach their full potential while encouraging positive and constructive relationships to flourish at home, at school and in the community.

Crystal’s behavioral health experience includes helping families solve problems within the context of their homes to avoid out of home placement, developing support, and empower families by teaching problem solving skills. Mrs Shore joined Amethyst with experience as both MultiSystemic Therapist and MST Supervisor. Her work involves developing and implementing treatment plans to address family strengths, challenges and treatment needs that allows families to demonstrate their skills and support. Crystal applies evidence based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in her treatment practices to work toward successful outcomes.

Maria Cook brings to Amethyst a wealth of behavioral health experience, including residential treatment clinician and intensive in-home team lead. In her current MST supervisory role, she provides clinical oversight of a team of MST therapists through group and individual supervision. She reviews clinical documentation for appropriateness of clinical effort and assures that clinicians achieve engagement with all key participants and stakeholders.Often these problems threaten the cohesion of the family unit. Her clinical expertise includes conducting MST assessments and providing clinical interventions at multiple system levels. Ms. Cook targets problems that occur at the individual, family, peer group, school, and community levels as factors in any of these areas may contribute to the presenting behavior problems. She incorporates a broad range of clinical theories and approaches in treating her families, including family systems theory, social ecological theory, behavioral therapy, and cognitive-behavioral therapy. In addition to direct care provision, she is actively involved in employee work concerns as chair of the Amethyst Employee Voice Committee.

Dr. Eluka is a professionally trained and licensed psychotherapist with a wide range of experience treating emotional and behavioral needs of adults, families, and children. She joined Amethyst in 2012 as an outpatient therapist. As such, she completes comprehensive mental health assessments and treatment plans. She provides individual, family, and group psychotherapy for client populations ranging from child and adolescents, adults, and the elderly. Having lived, trained, and worked in various nations ranging from Nigeria, London, England, and multiple regions of the United States, Dr. Eluka has developed a sub-specialty working with immigrants and people from multicultural backgrounds. In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Eluka is a professor and clinical trainer.

Ms Sturdivant is responsible for all educational activities designated to enhance relationships with established referral sources and build new referral sources. She employs marketing, public relations, education, and admissions activities in the functioning of her role. Ms. Sturdivant conducts initial intakes, and provides supportive services for referred clients who are in the initial processing stage of treatment. In addition to clinical intake duties, she plans and promotes events and activities that facilitate interaction among all staff as member of the Amethyst Activities Committee.
