Outpatient Therapy

Outpatient Therapy (OPT): Outpatient psychotherapy is a mode of treatment that targets a broad range of clinical concerns. Treatment may take place in an office setting or in the home or community. Short term outpatient therapy may range in duration from 6 to 12 months with a frequency of 1 to 2 treatment sessions per week. More intense treatment may be required for individuals and families who present with more chronic, persisten, or severe problems. Upon your first visit, your therapist will complete the comprehensive clinical or GAIN assessment identifying the extent of your concerns. In the treatment sessions to follow, the two of you will work together towards the completion of a Person-Centered Treatment Plan which will map out the course and duration of your clinical treatment.

Depending upon your identified needs, treatment will be carried out using one or more of the following primary treatment modalities:

Individual Therapy

Family/Couples Therapy

Group Therapy

Our staff go to great lengths to ensure that your treatment is provided in a safe, supportive, and caring environment, with your privacy as a top concern.

Amethyst adheres to a strict evidence based treatment model. In other words, your clinician will be committed to measurable behavioral and emotional outcomes as evidence that your concern coming into therapy is alleviated or completely eliminated by treatment end.

Why an Evidence Based treatment model?

Because several multi-year studies have shown that evidence based practices can reduce symptoms significantly for many years following the end of psychological treatment.
